I don’t have that much extra time because I work 10 hrs a day.I need some off days for my personal goals.I need some source of income. For that I started making my website http://www.sporthomepage.com mainly for sport fans. The website shop is powered by amazon.com.
Though it is 100% secured and amazon.com affiliate shop,I am still unable to make sale.I spent a lot of time on this website.
Do you have any suggestions to improve and make the website successful? I am not kidding,I have other goals but I am little frustated right now.

  1. Try to place as many of your items on the first page. Perhaps a featured section. Avoid cluttering the page.

Typical users usually spend 3 seconds to judge whether they’re on a webpage to stay or not.

So you’ve got only 3 seconds to catch a user’s attention. I’m quite sure most of the visitors on your site don’t click any of the links.

  2. Go away you hawker

  3. You have a ton of competition, and it has much more money than you do for advertising, marketing, etc.

If I want a Red Sox t-shirt, where am I going to go? I’d head for mlb.com (or Redsox.com), because it’s the official site of the team and I know it is legit. I don’t think I’d go to your site, because there’s no way to hear of it.

And I know exactly where you are. I’ve got a book site that has a tie to Amazon.com, and it’s never sold anything to speak of. However, it has been a good source of information for those wanting book reviews, and thus gets some traffic that way.
