I am 5ft 1 (and a half!) tall, and looking to get my first set of ladies beginner’s clubs.
I live in the UK, and as I’m only newly graduated and an entire novice really, i’m not looking to spend alot, probably with a budget of about £100-£200 (thats 200-400USD).
I have seen that there are petite sets available – and wonder what are the advantages and disadvantages of me purchasing a normal ladies or a petite ladies set.
A few of the sets I have come across are :
Lady Golf Girl:

Prosimmon x30 Petite ladies golf set:

and the Hippo Magia XS ladies golf set 2008.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this, or particular reccomendations etc…
I kind of like the golf girl set, and I know a petite one of it exists but I can’t find it on any UK site, only US sites! Need input, please help!

I am not sure how "petite" ladies sets differ from regular, but just because you are 5′ 11/2" don’t think you necessarily need shorter than normal clubs. Club length has nothing to do with height, only with the distance between your hands and the ground. If your arms are short for your body you will need longer than standard clubs and vice versa. If you visit a reputable golf shop they will be willing to fit you for length at no charge as they want you to be successful with the clubs you purchase.
