I have a hobby website and will be participating in some affiliate programs, ie, linking book titles to Amazon and receiving a commission should anyone buy said book. However, they require my SSN, which I would rather not have floating around. Should I apply for a EIN? Is there any downside to doing so? I’m sure I’ll be making less than 0/yr. Thanks.
