Recently, we’ve had hurricanes and flooding wreck property, and tornadoes level entire towns. Earthquakes hit major metro areas. An oil platform exploded in the Gulf of Mexico and caused an ecological disaster. And a nuclear power plant got into trouble and started spewing radioactive water into the ocean.
Are things getting worse? Mankind has always had to deal with disasters… So are there more or less than before?
