i went on craigslist ( well my husband did) and saw a listing for a 03 toyota tacoma double cap .. well here is what the seller wrote in return of my email ..
First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my truck. I sell it at this price(,870.00 ) because i’m in a divorce with my husband.
Now the truck is in my property and as a woman i don’t need it. This truck is in excellent working conditions, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title.
From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services.
We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account for ,000.00
The final price that I want for this truck is ,870.00 including shipping and handling.
… so now we received 3 emails from ebay … it gave me a case id # but when i search on ebay .. nothing is coming up?

First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my car. I sell it at this price($2,890.00) because i’m in a divorce with my husband.

If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay.
I will wait your answer very soon(if you are interested to buy).
Sounds Like you have been scammed.
I’m on craigslist right now and I see this big-a$$ warning:
[ OFFERS TO SHIP CARS ARE 100% FRAUDULENT ]
[ avoid recalled items ] [ partial list of prohibited items ] [success story?] [ AVOIDING SCAMS & FRAUD ] [ PERSONAL SAFETY TIPS ]
What did you miss?
P.S. Even if you didn’t have common sense (Which I’m sure you do), what makes you think a perfect 2003 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab would sell for that price??? Don’t let your greed get you.
That’s a SCAM. You cant sell a car on craigslist and use Ebay. The only way you can used anything Ebay is to sell it on Ebay.
Also Ebay or craigslist is just for advertising, like a newspaper. Ebay or trailpay doesn’t hold, distribute or guarantee funds.
Lets see he told you Ebay or secure pay or trail pay or something similar will hold funds until you inspect and OK a car before he gets his money? (there is no such thing)
This is a SCAM once you send the money it is gone because he can pick up wired money as soon as it hits the other end. And you have no way to get your money back.
He has no truck for sale, all info pictures and emails etc he has sent you is fake. All he wants is your info and money and then he will be gone.
Only buy a car you can see, drive and pay in person so you wont get SCAMMED…………………md
SCAM. No vehicle, just a bunch of nice pictures. Doesn’t the free shipping give you a clue? These scams are prevalent on Craigslist and I flag at least 20 a day. I wish there were a way to get them pulled faster. There is no protection. If you send money to the supposed "escrow service" it, along with the "seller" will disappear. The messages you received from "ebay" are probably not real either.
